I will not kid with Riv or Siv,
If they show numb from where they come,
I will not laugh or call them dumb.

I came to work the other day,
In time to get my weekly pay,
As I sat down to start to work,
The telephone went off half berserk.

I answered fast to stop the noise,
And settled back with pro-like poise,
A woman speaking very fast,
Told me why she called, at last.

Seems the salesman in the store,
Told her so as not to bore,
Beginners used the easy disc,
The pros, the hard disc always risk.

The salesman further played the game,
No computers are the same,
The techy tells the mother's son,
Where the easy disc was run.

"Sir", she said, "Where is the easy disc?"

You see me with the classified,
Drinking Alky and fizz bromide,
I'm looking for another line,
Deliver milk, Well, sure, that's fine [comments] => 3 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenorm this poem was lots of fun!!!!!
I wish I could get you when I call....'tis quite often afterall. I always get some grouchy woman, who probably has PMS.....they are always in a big hurry.....which puts this old woman's mind in a flurry.....I can't learn anything under those nervous circumstances...I'd be glad to send you some good Irish Creme.....if only your special number you didn't screen!
Funnnnnnnnnnnnnny today
consue
It's a good day in Wyomin' no snow yet!

Another delightful read. Again, one small change I would make: drop "off" from the last line of the second stanza, and it will move more quickly.

lol. excellent last stanza, norm. Gave me reason to *grin* - as with the rest of the poem.
Good stuff.
