Array ( [sid] => 37437 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Son [time] => 2004-03-05 09:15:08 [hometext] => This is dedicated to my son Joseph. Only 7 but he is strong willed. I am always here even though me and your mother are apart. [bodytext] => --------_______------------

My son i feel your pains, i know you're hurting inside,
I can feel that piece of you as it slowly dies,
My heart cried tears of blood as i watched tears fall from your eyes,
I'm so sorry all of this has taken a toll upon your life.

I can feel your anger, the shadows it's casting upon your soul,
I hold you in my arms, i fear your heart's trying to grow cold.
I look into your innocent eyes i see the darkness trying to get in,
My Son i'm doing my best, the best i truly can.

I'm trying to stop all your pain, that piece of you i'm trying to revive,
I'm trying to give you back all of those tears that you've cried,
I'm trying to restore the trust back inside, I'm sorry your old life has been denied.
I'm trying to make you happy, i'm trying to shed light upon your soul,
i'm trying to keep your heart warm, to stone like mine i wish it not to grow.

Within your eyes i want to see that gentle glow, i wish for your love to continue to grow.
I'm never going to leave you, i shall always be at your side,
I'll be here for you, upon my shoulders you can cry,
My son i love you, i love you more than life,
I promise to never leave you until the day that i die...

I agree with Doug. Very sad and it's always hard on the children but they bounce back. I know from experience. Good job.
