A set routine
Every day the same.

Cutting, stinging
Flowing, bleeding
All of this I feel.

First the knife,
in my hand,
steady as I go.

Then the sweet
taste of pain
as it bites into my flesh.

Next the numbing feeling
that sweeps over me,
as I sink to the floor.

Then the red
that fills my sight
mingled with the black.

Next the black takes over
my sight, leaving me
blind and empty.

Last I wake, to find me
in this world again.
Then the routine begins again.
