The gentle wind does blow thy hair
Away to your lair of bones and lies
Where true gentle sun dies

Sweet knife in my hand
Cut threw all in me that will stand
Let go the my blood so dear
Let me pass without fear

Crimson blade that holds my fate
Come dear steel the hour is late
Cleans my hold cut me down
Hold me under till I drown

Death I hail you my darkest friend
The gentle soul and life you bend
Away us now hand in hand
Off to the forbidden land

I loved it. It says something to me. It speaks out to the most dark of us, and really touches the soul. i love the way you chose your words and created an image. i love it. period.

The imagery of this poem is amazing. I’ve been there, felt the cold steel as I pressed it to my flesh. You did a great job on this poem. I especially love the line “Death I hail you my darkest friend.” Darkest friend *sigh* Reading the words opened old scares yet it sent a strange comfort knowing I'm not alone
