Since I said goodbye

On that warm September day

I miss you so much

My life you have touched

On your grave, a white rose I will lay

I touch your headstone

As I stand alone

The wind whispers thru the oak tree

Recalling fond memories

A welcomed calm settles over me

I've had so many doubts

I miss your laugh, your smile

I've shed so many tears

In this long year

As I stand at your grave

I take a hard look around

There are so many others

In this hallowed ground

Realizing that, one thought runs thru my mind

You may be gone, but you have never left me

You have touched my life

And so, you remain within me

A small measure of peace steals over me

Fate or God stepped in a year ago

I am unable to change that

What will be, will be

You will always remain with me.

A year has gone by

Dearest Tanna,
this is very weird for me... I wrote a poem years ago called September 92, its on ITS WRITTEN, it is about the death of my husband; in september; his name was David... too weird, yours came up for me under misc.... take care, sorry for your loss,
