Life's garden filled of beauty, some pain,
Earth's hidden laughter, sunshine, rain,
When darkness falls dismal upon the soul,
And you feel a loss of all sanity's control,

When things have gone from bad to worse,
Your life seems no more than a curse,
Then look towards that brightest star,
Its light shines there for you, from afar,

A wealth of love and hope it sends,
It is the loving star of all your friends,
All stepping stones to finding your way,
Dreams and smiles of brighter days,

Counting with you dismal times of yesteryears,
Breathing happiness through all your tears,
Walk in your garden early each morn,
Smell the flowers, watch for the thorns,

And when you cannot quite understand,
Know your friends will help you stand,
Listen closely the earth is laughing,
Breathe deeply of this spirited air and,

Don't give up when the thunder comes,
Your garden cannot be undone.
