Out cold he lay.
Hurt and disoriented.
We heard.
We cried.
We hoped.

His name.

He is angry.
We got him back

He hit his head again...
We cry again.

Unsure future.

Gods . . . I'm so sorry. What you and your family must be going through . . . I don't know what to say . . . my thoughts and --dare I say it?-- prayers will be with him. Forgive the innocuous-ness of the words, but I hope everything turns out okay.

Beautiful poem. Poignant and powerful, with a certain grace in its simplicity.

Goddess bless.

Nora

You must get this a lot, but what else can I say except I'm so very sorry to hear about this. I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through. What I really liked about this poem is how each line only uses an average of three words yet can still have so much of an impact. Incredible poem, kudos.

I don't know what to say..it's sad, but beautifully written.
I have seizures that cause severe memory loss...sometimes I don't recognize my family or friends..
I see a puzzled look on their faces...and a sad look. I regain my memory in a day or two..but it's a terrible and frightening thing. It's nice that you can share.

this is so poignant, it brought tears to my eyes... my grandfather is like this too after a fall, I know how it feels.

Hope things are better for you soon

I hope the damage is not permanent. I am sorry to hear of this pain your uncle and family are going thru. I will keep you all in my thoughts. It is my fervent wish that he returns to his old self.
