I've had as much as I can take.
The thoughts and memories and such
I wish I didn't have.

I can't escape it.
I thought I had side stepped these feelings.
I'm falling into a bottomless pit.
The wave of emotions crashes over me again.

I try to hide,
I pull the covers over my head.
Through me fear does glide.
The feelings still reach me through the blankets.

I take a tack to bleed away my pain.
Trying to find a place on my arm to hide my cuts.
Briefly disappears the anxiety and shame.
But only for a short time.

The throbbing stops and I'm left again with nothing but my sorrow.
Inside I'm troubled and tortured.
I pray that I do not wake up tomorrow.
My emotional roller coaster never ends. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 366 [topic] => 13 [informant] => WorthlesSanity666 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Beautiful, emotive writing.
I could feel the despair as I read each line.
I enjoyed reading, thanks for sharing.
