only in my dreams do i see me happy, kissed by sunlight, living the life i believe i was meant to live, and have longed all my life to live, where fairys flutter, maybe an english countryside, some where love always abides, rests beside me, gardens full of tomorrows, fragrant blooming roses, butterflies and bees, cat on the porch licking its paw, many mellow horses with contented nickerings in the pastures, dogs with no fences safe to live a dog's life, highest majestic mountains with lakes, more beauty all around me than i could ever imagine by contemplation alone, ...all the ones i love, all together, for once not scattered everywhere... near distance somewhere close to a harbor with a pier, where i could go to sit and write long hours into the nights, beside me my dogs, gentle breezes blowing in hair and fur, ...upon returning home lighting a candle row, closing the curtains, watering houseplants that hang from every point ones eye can see, so many green leaves, it is so charming, ...this wish, this dream, a silent wishful part of me that no longer dies; but is fullfilled; victorian home with country flare, bedroom with antique rose wallpaper, alas a home with so much more room, an old country cottage type is in my dreams, quaint, beautiful, but.. i do not see myself alone there, someone loves me who will never leave, never die, my fantasy dreamworld of smiles, hugs and laughter, hearts are warm, minds at peace, life breathes richly upon the air, in this make-believe paradise of mine, although in my dreams and day dreams it is real, could be real, ...i imagine smelling those herbs, candles, vegetables strewn on wooden counters, hanging baskets, some sitting on the floor, owning more pottery than i could ever dust in a days time, many bookshelves, assorted interesting crafts made with love, apples, everything gently spilling over to make this home complete, in disorganized organization, my style, my fashion, with flare, ...visitors who come in the day by light and dark of night spilling with laughter, pies and flowers, noon tea, only in my dreams, ...fresh flowers are always on my kitchen table, more antiques of darkest wood i would have, up some stairs a nook with my desk, overlooking an old tree with a birds nest in it, where each spring i could watch the birdlings learn to fly, this room has inward walls, its cozy, charming and quaint, when i write my whole world is emanating of peace and serenity, this is where i will finish writing my novels, more poetry, always poetry for sanity, ...this room has a couch but there are always dogs laying upon it snoring, a pillow for their heads, pretty much like where i am in reality, but this couch is bigger, and they all can fit, i walk up more steps to the attic, an excited thrill, musty dusty but so serene, boxes of memories, wistful me, ...going downstairs i light a fire in a huge stone fireplace, made from hardworking hands from ancestral times gone by, my lover brings me a cup of tea {i'm really dreamin' now}, ...contentedly i look out the one remaining flowery curtain not yet pulled shut, stars in the sky, seeing some deep place in my soul, right through this window, that is only in my dreams...

What a beautiful read you have given me. I wish I too could have such dreams, I wallowed in selfpity after reading your poem it is exceptionally good. You have written this poem that should be shared with more people try putting it in the local press for a start and then to some of the daily's. many newspaper print poetry if it is good and this is well above average. Thank you for a most enjoyable read.

Bernard
