_____strangler's afternoon_____

she was standing at a crossroads
she was late

you know there was no one to call
twisted fate

walking along the same avenue
behind her

'would you like to meet the strangler'
in her neck he said to her

hair in shocked mortalitys fright
from his whispers

a heart stopping moment
fear

she hurridly walked straight ahead
called an unknown name
(hey! tom! here i am!)

would she ever see home?
see a sun rise again?

saved by that old man clipping his bushes
she did not want to be dead then

____________perhaps:____________

for a while he stood, muttering and
musing by the shore of the ocean

________9pm evening________

date with a sexy wooden legged man
he held me tight

tossed me out because i wanted to see
alone walking at midnight

thinking about that day; was all rushed,
that afternoons scary hush

_____________hillsides_____________

the killer's mistaken identity
and i missed my bus

_________stranger's last breath_________

found later that evening a similar girl
he stalked our long auburn hair

murdered on the celeb steps bustop
this was where

this other girl had to die by him
he killed the wrong one

not that it mattered to him, his mistake
he went to his bed; los' angeles sun rose again

this was my route that time of night
paths of twisted fate

carrying this guilt through the years
for my being late

*the city now has one more angel,
she accidently died in my place,
this poem is dedicated to her,
forever young...

all of them.

The hand of fate.....no one ever knows who it will touch next. This was spellbinding Nessa...written to perfection. You should feel no guilt for things that are beyond our control. Glad you are still here with us (((nessa)))

Forget the guilt, Nessa. It's a useles emotion that weighs us down. If we have reasons to be guilty then we must take responsibility and move on. But here you have no reason. The other girl no doubt needed off the earth plane in a hurry, and your own guide was sitting on your shoulder as it's not your turn yet.

Enjoyed the piece, though.

This is an amazing write Nessa. Fate plays her hand as she wishes and we are either lucky or unlucky. Sounds like you were lucky.

Hugs - glad you were lucky

amazing poem
but LA at night is really scary in some places, I actually feel safer in NY, maybe cause I'm used to it
we [my mother, my brother and me] were supposed to return the car we were renting at 8pm to Union Station, we never did, cause it was just too scary
