not the intention
just the direction
who knew of the future blows.

I fell hard for you on those long nights
a flirtatious little girl
setting out in her adult world
oblivious to the halting sights.

I fell hard watching you drive me home
planned the night so well
tasted the good side of hell
never regretting my sinful roam.

I fell hard as you showed me what love is
a damsel rescued
you let fate bless you
and held me as I ceased being his.

I fell so hard to be with you
a child lost
the vows all crossed
steadied as the sins accrued.

I fell hard to hang on to us
a damaged soul
death to a spirited foal
watched the withering embers of trust.

I fell hard to be right here
your truest faith
a place to call safe
love of a lifetime so clear.

I fell hard for you today
remembering all the times
all at once trying and sublime
you've made me forget the running to stay. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 48 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
