I am the scapegoat
I am the blame
I am responsible for all this pain.

Our family ties
weak as to bind
they break with ease.

My curse leads me to be the scissors,
cutting the beams of my family apart,
and rousing more pain for us.

I am not at fault,
yet others claim it to be.

It is not my fault,
I have a problem with intelligence.
For I did not choose to have such a horrid problem.

Just as the man with Down Syndrome
did not choose his malady,
So did I not choose my pain.

HOW I wish I could relieve myself
of the pain this curse has caused
Yet my pain will come to no end

Who is to blame for my curse?
Creationists believe God created us.
If this is so, then I hold God responsible,
for HE knew full well of this curse, and knew full well I would
be alienated thanks to it.
I thank you, O god, for the curse you hae granted me.

My Curse is the scapegoat
My Curse is the Blame
My curse is responsible for all this.

God should be the scapegoat
God Should be the Blame
God is responsible for all this.

Not me. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 243 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Falconrath [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

Family ties

I am the scapegoat
I am the blame
I am responsible for all this pain.

Our family ties
weak as to bind
they break with ease.

My curse leads me to be the scissors,
cutting the beams of my family apart,
and rousing more pain for us.

I am not at fault,
yet others claim it to be.

It is not my fault,
I have a problem with intelligence.
For I did not choose to have such a horrid problem.

Just as the man with Down Syndrome
did not choose his malady,
So did I not choose my pain.

HOW I wish I could relieve myself
of the pain this curse has caused
Yet my pain will come to no end

Who is to blame for my curse?
Creationists believe God created us.
If this is so, then I hold God responsible,
for HE knew full well of this curse, and knew full well I would
be alienated thanks to it.
I thank you, O god, for the curse you hae granted me.

My Curse is the scapegoat
My Curse is the Blame
My curse is responsible for all this.

God should be the scapegoat
God Should be the Blame
God is responsible for all this.

Not me.

I think this is the first poem I have read of yours and I am quite impressed. Lots of anger and hurt found within this poem and I thought you expressed it well. Kie
