For the very last time,
Walk away, slowly,
Just don’t turn around,
What you just said,
Made a grown man cry.

Wish you well in the world,
I really do,
But there is a hole now,
No longer your voice,
Gone the frenetic breakfast,
And the calm dinner for two.

Loneliness is a stranger,
But it may become my friend,
If I smile, it’s a lie,
I turn and turn but no one,
Why can’t I call you?
Why never, ever again?

Walk home, kicking stones,
Just me and the road,
Still the taste of your lips,
A heart full of yesterdays,
What to do, all alone,
Broken, completely in two.

This just broke my heart. Saying that I can relate is an understatement. I know it hurts, hang in there with the rest of us. You expressed your heart so beautifully in this poem. In time it will get better. Kie
