In which my soul took flight
To heaven so grand
I dreamed you took my hand
Together we walked side by side
In a place where my feelings I didn’t have to hide
I dreamed of your lovely face
I felt the warmth and sweetness of a child’s embrace
I dreamed of all the things a mother wants to do
Like long talks about important things and how to tie your shoe
I dreamed of the child I never got the chance to hold
These visions mean so much to me, they are more precious than gold
And my dream seemed to feel
And how I wish it was so real
The sadness comes with dawn
The fading dream now is gone
They say a dream is a visit between the living and the gone
So I wait for our next visit dear, but next time lets hold off the coming dawn.

I had another dream last night
In which my soul took flight
