because I know there is much to do.
But I won't take too much of your time,
just tell you the favors crossing my mind.
For there are quite a few things I need,
and so with that, I will proceed.
I ask for paper, for the thoughts in my head,
to tuck away right under my bed,
for me to pull out, edit and trash,
and hide all my favorites, in a secret stash.
I ask for you to give me quill,
so that I may write, whatever I will.
I will write on the paper, you graciously gave,
with poetry from my heart, that is saved.
And with that quill, please pass the ink,
colors of blue, red, and pinks.
So I may make my poetic rainbow shine,
with the thoughts I leave behind.
And one more thing, and then adieu,
I ask for ideas, to always come through.
And even on days with writer's block,
I will still be ranting with the tick of the clock.
And now, I will lay down my head with care,
for the poet must rest, after her prayer. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 190 [topic] => 19 [informant] => Jazz [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )
