Sunflowers

Contributed by apollo on Wednesday, 25th February 2004 @ 05:00:57 PM in AEST
Topic: war

Honey, honey the bees make honey!
Allow this writing to appear quite funny!
Into and out from this golden ray,
Jump in these Dictators made from clay! (Mold them to what you wish!)
Brothers and Sisters, and so many more,
Appearing is this flora ready for war.
To what turmoil has this beauty rotted?
Mocking these words for which have been jotted?
Line them up to a wall, get ready for action,
You may feel their warmth a distraction.
For these sensations, they will pass,
With their arched petals of gold. Alas! (Nothing is forever. . )
Astonishing as it all may seem,
These families too, have lost their gleam.
Too much goes into the conquering of another,
Until the loss of a lost sister. . or forgotten brother.
Yet these flowers, still grow and shine,
Directed at their Master (the sun), formal and inline.
Until the next call to battle. .
