Daggered claws fly through the night
They open wide and give a bite
There is no use putting up a fight
Daggered claws hold on so tight

They rip right through your flesh, to bone
They keep good grip, as tight as stone
You cry in pain, you ache and moan
Help is no use, you are alone

In the forest, all dark and black
The claws keep ripping, they give no slack
You go insane, totally wack
But the claws do not draw back

You fall in agony and pain
Totally wack, you go insane
You feel the claws rip out your veins
You feel your life go down the drains

Your body lying, now quite dead
The blood stops flowing, still dark red
Your body mangled, still with head
Claws are happy, blood was shed

Although your body is lying stilled
They continue to rip, continue to mill
Continue to rip, though you're killed
Continue to rip, till desire is filled

Claws are complete, they've done their job
They clawed and clawed, pain more than throb
Of your life, they did rob
They turned your body into a cabob

Daggered claws flew through the night
They opened wide and gave a bite
There was no use putting up a fight

I like the rhyming scheme of this poem, but more than that I enjoyed its descriptiveness. I vividly saw times when I had felt those claws and also the analogy with the blood and being torn apart. This is a beautiful poem. I loved it. Good write.
