[hometext] => I compare this poem to certain times in my life when I have gone downhill. It may sound wierd in the begining, but it gets good afterwards.
[bodytext] => I wish God would stop raining Stop raining on me With his cold tears Striking my face Why can't He just leave us alone at times? Sometimes, I wonder If He's ever listening Especially to me Finally, the rain has stopped My mind feels lifted But my heart is empty Oh well, as long as the rain stops Drought has come into my soul But I still don't need the rain I can live without the flood I can breathe without His hand God? I need you Your rain has stopped raining on me And ever since then My heart and soul has withered before You Please, I'm begging you If you listened to me before Than listen to me now I need Your rain I'm screaming I'm stuck in the quicksand The sun beats down on my face And yet I feel you walking away Thank you for raining on me For picking me up when I was down I may be gone in life But I'm living with You now I know when I'm stubborn I don't listen to your demands I know now that I need your rain No matter if it floods my soul [comments] => 1 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 11 [informant] => sickness16 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )
