Why do i endeavor to stay awake
Another piece of me lashes out
Try to fake everything immense that's still in me
I got bruises all in-between

Let me seize the ignorance that your hiding
Or possibly its me that has distorted
And I'm left with nothing

What if i gone astray
Would i be the one that is a failure
To me i am gone

I don't need to stay tonight
To face these fears i covet to leave behind
Suffocating from everything i relate to
Watch as i wave goodbye

There is nothing vast in this verve
Stand back and brawl with the things in my head
Wondering why i care through and through
While in the end it was for nil

So what's the purpose
I impugn myself and I enclose nothing
Why try?

Why try?

Why do i endeavor to stay awake
