[title] => A DRY LAND IN A DRY MONTH
[time] => 2002-09-10 06:51:35
[hometext] => This was originally written in October 1976. (The 18th to be precise.)
very early on in my career as a Divinity Student. I’ve revised it here. The theology is questionable, but it catches the sense of excitement and disorientation of that situation. The original title was DIVINITY 1 --- [bodytext] => A dry land in a dry month– grey sky, grey stone, grey sand. Never thirsty, always thirsting unable to remain; driven from water to water. We now longer dream of earth, but of water, water afar off. We are dryness incarnate – Thirst that walks upright. As we walk we see water, water everywhere. Water afar off. Surely the water is who we seek; What we seek must be in the well, the well we haven’t yet found, The well afar off.
