And I fight the urge to do more harm
I feel the struggle, the tug-of-war
Just getting through the day feels like a chore

I lose the battle and hide in the dark
Trembling on the floor, carving another mark
I've lost the will to even try
To smile and laugh, when all I want to do is cry

To the darkness, I am a slave
I'm just too tired to try and be brave
There's nothing left, no more for me to give
I can no longer find the will to live

No more words to be spoken
No more promises to be broken
No more smiles for me to fake
No more laughter to have to make

As I sit in the dark, I wish someone was here
To take away the pain, take away the fear
I just wanted peace, just wanted light
Wanted something more to make me fight

Nothing came and no one was there
Nothing in this world to make me care
I press the blade to my vein
My thoughts out of control, like a runaway train

I get up and lock the door
As the last of my life spills to the floor
When the darkness consumes my mind
I think about the happiness I could never find [comments] => 3 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 36 [informant] => JadedExistence [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

I love this, it's brilliant! Beautiful choice of words.

No more words to be spoken
No more promises to be broken
No more smiles for me to fake
No more laughter to have to make

I think that's my favourite part.. just coz it rings so true for me. Amazing job, keep up the good work!!
