Behind the wheel in a jam
Traffic is crawling, barely moving at all
No way around, just follow along

Tension builds, my teeth clenched shut
Stop.....go......stop......go
I cannot take much more of this
An exit just up ahead

Finally I'm free, take another way home
Turn left here, Damn, a dead end
Turn around, find a new way
In circles I feel I'm going

Stopped again, another red light
Wait......wait......whats taking so long?!
The light changes to green, a car tries to slip by
Crash, bam, an accident, again i'm stuck in a jam

The occupants climb out, no one is hurt
They mill about not caring they are in my way
Frustration building, i'm beginning to see red
Why don't they move off the road?!

Cars behind me honking, everyone wants by
I feel my body tensing as rage builds inside
My foot slams on the gas, I aim straight ahead
If they will not move, I'll push them out of my way

People scatter all about, barely avoiding my tires
I smile as i hear a satisfying squeel
As metal on metal, i push the crash out of my way
Everyones yelling, I simply smile and wave

Off I head, homeward bound
Up ahead, high school kids crossing the street
They see me coming and slow their walk
With a growl I hit the gas, wondering how many I will miss

Too late they try to scramble out of harms way
Crunch there bones snap, screams are heard miles away
Laughing hysterically, I consider going in reverse
Better get home, dinner will be getting cold

Cruising along the back roads I go
Hitting anyone I find along the way
Adrenaline coursing thru my veins
With a grin, I speed off into the night [comments] => 6 [counter] => 989 [topic] => 6 [informant] => mercedes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 23 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )
