pretending to be wronged in an undeserving way.
Maneuvering for advantage, you slyly press your case,
all reason left behind, the facts all out of place.

No one's quite as good as you, all virtue in them lacking.
Accuse, accuse you do - Don't you hear the things you're saying?
Your standard is all wrong when it is your neighbor.
God demands perfection; the price of his good favor.

The evil heart you possess, you think lies in another,
while all of your mistakes, you minimize and cover.
Exposure someday will come, right before your eyes,
and just like I did too - Yourself you will despise.

Don't think of this as bad, or that you can't recover.
It's through being broken, we become Christ's brother.
A miracle is this, and a transformation sweet:
God's Spirit working in you to make your soul complete.

Looking back you'll see what a Pharisee you've been;
How it took the work of Christ to save your soul from sin.
Now, forget about the past, be thankful thru' and thru'
that grace has been reserved for such a wretch as you.
- (and me, I pray)
