I hope you enjoy this one. MaJ [bodytext] => -------------__________------------

You have shackled me to this wall
awaiting my final fall
To blame someone is to point at a few
With all of this, I still do not hate you

The beauty we perceive with our eyes
is but a reflection of the vast expanse
of beauty, divine love, and peace I cry
while shackled in this eternal stance

I was shackled to this wall below the belt
not able to move but an inch or two
My hands are bruised and this bleeding I have felt
still does not cause hate towards you

My clothes tattered and torn
my skin wrinkled, colors of black and blue
my cuts deep and worn
But you persecute me, and I pray for you

Hate is not in my skin
my soul or my mind
Behold I see the beauty and good within
Only hoping one day the beauty you will find

All I ask of you is that you catch me when I fall
for you I would do the same
I am not your true enemy after all
for my death I request you have no shame

I am bound to this wall, my bones breaking
waiting for my final moments to be alive
I am shaking while my body goes through these changes
Even after I am gone, my soul shall survive.

I did not say it before
but I leave you with Matthew 5:44
So when you see me lying breathless on the floor
Remember these last words of mine are from my heart's core.

"I say unto you, Love your enemies
Bless them that curse you
Do good to them that hate you
And pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you"

These shackles can not break me into hate
this dark cold room will not change me
For I will stand waiting for you at the gate
So read my final thoughts, and the truth you will see.

Now it is over, I am finally dead
I am lying here on the ground
my body removed from its head
I still cast no hate on you, for I am now heavenly bound. Thank you all for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed the poem, and that it touched you all in a different way. I hope others that have read it also see the message. That even in a time of pain and termoil, facing death, even when hate would be accepted. A person with a pure heart and pure love, still will not cast the first stone..
