June 2002

Oh how blessed we really are! [bodytext] => The world in tears
They feel
They fear
They reel

Children fighting wars
Adults did start
Sinking to the cores
Of a broken heart

Death and decay
Out the window to see
Upon the Earth they lay
Should we just let it be

Hunger consumes
Diseases soar
Six people living in two rooms
Death is knocking on their door

Men without work
In lines they stand
On the corners they lurk
Their families need a hand

In the dark of the night
The desperate will wait
It is such a fright
Lock the gate

This is the real world
To see it is tough
My heart has unfurled
I never knew it so gruff

Another honest poem...unfortunately..
