I recall questioning the true meaning in my head.
What is a friend?
Someone who will be there till the end.

To share untold, undying secrets
Lavish you with good advise on future engagements
To support you when your'e down on your luck,
Give you a little tug when you get stuck
Render you with strength to see your way through
To wish you good health when you have the flu
Who will care for you in ways others cannot,
Help fill voids, holes and other faults
To supply you with courage to make it another day
Help you understand things don't always go your way
To yell at you for your unwise decisions,
Those that are harmful like drinking and drug addictions
To be a shoulder to cry on when you mourn
Never treat you inferior or with scorn
Who will listen with sincere intent,
Talk to and never gets impatient
Lend you their hand so you don't turn to stone
Share their sorrow so you won't feel alone

What is a friend?
Each unique in their own way,
once they are lost you cannot mend. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 267 [topic] => 16 [informant] => viki [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )
