Array ( [sid] => 3561 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => HERE IS A ROSE.... [time] => 2002-09-09 06:28:37 [hometext] => I was thinking of an old song from a long time ago when I wrote this poem and how roses are symbolic for the different forms of love we feel. [bodytext] => the thought of your hands on my skin
shivers my back and heats my emotions
and burns inside my heart...
here is a rose, sweetheart...
three roses just for you...
the white rose is the truest love we
share
the love that says 'i will
love you even when you change
or maybe because you change...'
who knows the secret of real love...
don't think - just feel...
the red rose is the passion
i feel inside that sets my world
on fire;
the yellow fits this,
no matter how difficult
we share the truest love,
the love of friendship which
means that we can accept
and seek out the differences
we share... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 289 [topic] => 2 [informant] => sunflowerstar [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Beautifully written. I love Roses, but have recieved very few in my life time. They can mean so much, if the person you give them to, would only understand, and not be embarrassed, as I had given once to someone dear, a few years ago. Yes, Roses have many meanings, but they also smell so lovely too.
good write, Amber Rose :)
