What’s one to do when you've lost the reasons for your rhymes,
What happens to the muse after it’s been useless for quite a time.
What becomes of the emotions once permanently frozen there,
When the writer becomes vacant, lined paper remaining bare.

What occurs once endless creativity now finds itself in defeat,
When deities of poetry discover themselves unable to compete.
What develops after months of continual struggling to inscribe,
When producing something superb used to so easily transcribe.

What resolves this maddening blockage of artistic originality,
To allow one to grasp their preferred state of individuality.
How is one to awaken their muse to spill ink upon a page,
When their reason for creation remains lost within; caged. Caged Creativity

What’s one to do when you've lost the reasons for your rhymes,

Oh, I can relate. One truth I've learned about poetry is that it can't be forced. The muses show up when they are ready. They are ornery little minches, aren't they?

Every artist's disdain....when the source of inspiration is shut off from us albeit temporarily. You have described that anguish masterfully. I can relate wholly to this poem.
