Give all that you can, and make every last thing count... [bodytext] => that beutiful aroma taunts my senses,
it must be the jasmine,
so beutiful
so lonely.
it hangs there to please others,
and its regal petals that shine brighter than the sun,
trick my eyes into seeing something sacred.
innocence shows character
and pride is the crutch of the insecure.
i wont fall on it this time,
not now, not when i'm so close.
to touch what i crave would be the sweetest victory.
i would be whole,
if only i knew what i was searching for....
a god maybe
a prophet,
or sanctuary within a hostile world.
if only i knew what that was like,
to feel safe all the time,
not to run, or hide, or have consequences.
not anarchy, but utopia,
i want something that doesn't exist,
something that wont ever exist.
something that madmen are made of.
and even when silence is golden,
not many people will know how important it is.
silence will be what makes or breaks us in the end.
when all has fallen away
and the thin ice of life is broken,
though we tried not to slip
we all fall through,
submerged in the ice cold bondage
stuck between life and death.
this is the time we are able to think clearly,
no petty thoughts of
who did what
or he said she said.
thoughts about what we could've changed
what we could've contributed
and how we will never get the chance.
and after that
what will happen next
and the uncertainty of an afterlife..... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Strat [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

This poem touches me intensely. I believe at one point as I read it, I gasped at how true your words are. I'm rather speechless as to how to tell you what I liked. Wonderful write.
