SEVENTEEN

Contributed by emystar on Tuesday, 17th February 2004 @ 05:32:51 PM in AEST
Topic: BirthdayPoems

Today is a special time it's true
Celebrating a birthday for you.
Birthday cakes, all sorts of things
Yes, you're seventeen!

Seventeen, so pretty and bright.
Seventeen, a young lady, alright.
Seventeen, and women hood together.
Seventeen, not much older but better.

Want be long till you leave the nest
like your brother and sister, I guess.
You'll face the big bad world
My youngest, pretty little girl.

Happy Birthday!
You're seventeen

luv,
yo momma

What a lovely poem for your daughter, mine's only 9 and I want her to stay that way, must be quite hard seeing them grow into young women and learning to let go a bit? I don't know how I'll cope. You're obviously still very close to her, it shows in your words, well done.

Ali xx
