Our lost evolution hidden,
By all our faceless crimes,
In a world so evil and ridden,
Of love and meaningful lies
In which we forget our past ties

We say were the leaders of this world,
Relying on bacteria and worms,
To satisfy every idea we've held,
Unto which our children learn,
To be all humanitiarian supremacists
And then become true nationlists

This is our evolution,
This is not the solution,
This is our absolution,
To dig our own graves

We build societies to dictate our lives,
We follow faiths with no face,
Listen to politicians and all there lies,
Science is a cult and not a race,
Because out lives are based theory
The futures gonna look a little dreary

We just sheep following the herd,
Of a cliff onto jaggered rocks,
Which the 'smart' ones pefer,
Lifes is full of lies and knocks,
A never ending road to no-where,
Where nothings ever fare

This is our evolution,
This is not the solution,
This is our absolution,
To dig our own graves

We think we can cure all disease,
Break the rules that nature intended,
Just so that we can please,
The martyrs of science we defended,
So that we can over-populate,
So that we can aggitate
The rest of life

Were on a road to self destruction,
Caused by our over-bearing egotism,
And our ability of construction,
Were trapped in a schism,
The truth is far to real,
Know this when our skin rots and peels,
When die

This is our evolution,
This is not the solution,
Our minds bring confusion,
No unity, no fusion,
Lies based on segredation,
Following this useless nation,
Were heading towards damnation,
This is our evoltion,
This is our absolution,
This is the end of the line,
When we realize were wrong
And nothings ever fine

Because we are human
And we are what we are [comments] => 6 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 64 [informant] => alecfernadez [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ambiguous )

Reminds me a bit of Lionel's last poem. Do you write music? These would make great lyrics.

Well, Al, you've got basic human depravity (since the fall of Adam) pretty well summed up. A very good read. Adams sin imputed to mankind, (like begets like) is exemplified in the fact that man can be much more evil than any other creature: but yet, more noble too.
God Bless--- Lionel

This is one butt kicking poem....it really sums up how i feel sometimes, like its all just one big accident that we're here and for some reason we spend most of our lives trying to prove that it's no accident...that fate is real or something, anyway, i get it
