A long, long time ago.
Liked by many,
He had a kind personality,
Had a heart
Full of love and charity,
But that was years ago.

A soft face,
But strong just the same,
And eyes full of joy, hope,
And compassion,
Once upon a time.

He was a brilliant athlete,
An artist, and talented musician.
He had a singer's voice,
He had a great deal of patience,
Was very intelligent,
But those days are gone.

But he was not perfect,
He had his share of faults.
His temper was worst,
His control over it wasn't great.
It was his downfall
All those years ago.

His family fell apart,
He felt he was to blame,
His fuse began burning,
Pressure began building.
Anger, like cancer,
Took over
All those years ago.

His face became rough,
Ugly, his countenance
And eyes fell, flames burned
Forever to be out of control
Many years ago.

He hurt those he once loved,
Lost belief in love,
He slipped up, made one mistake,
His temper was triggered.
Years of anger, hatred, and sorrow
Exploded out
All those years ago.

Now he lives alone,
Not by choice, but not unwillingly.
His one mistake cost him
Love, hope, happiness, and everything but life
So many years ago. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 165 [topic] => 31 [informant] => Solmyr1404 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )
