that you made my life hard
everything was tougher to accomplish
anything you did left me scarred

Every time you humiliated me
and let my reputation char
you taught me its not the outside
but what's inside is what you really are

When you would leave me shredded
my feelings torn apart
you showed me how to treat others
and listen to my heart

Through all those times that you left me
hurting from your fist
you left me with a lesson of life
you helped me learn how to persist

I learned from all the tormenting
that after a fall you have to rise
even if someone is holding you down
you must smolder failure until it dies

Each time you made things
more difficult then they had to be
instead of ruining my motivation
you pushed me forward to victory

Although all your cruelty
was to stunt my ability to thrive
you did much more than i thought you would
you taught me how to survive

You've given me the persistence to succeed
and the knowledge not to fail
you've taught me all the things i need
to break my limit and prevail

Now i feel that i can thank you
for what you've done for me
you've unlocked the barrriers that held me with in
and taught me how to fly free [comments] => 1 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 37 [informant] => Esther [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ThankYouPoems )

Sorta like O dark light. One of my poems mind you. I don't mean the meaning but i mean the twistedness of it. From the ashes you rise and thats a beautifal thing. The poem i loved. It was good. Heres just an idea try writing somthing like this without a face. I mean from the darknesses point of view. You'd be surprised what comes out. Read on of my poems. That would be a good refrence. This isn't one of the styles i'm sujesting but read my poem London or London hall. It might give you and idea. Just look under shadow. Good poem keep em coming.
