What chance… fate played hard to get
Slapped face
Stings with regret
Tears held back so long
Pouring like rain
Can’t stand up
Oblivion embrace
Stately old bricks
Bang my head for the pain
Take it or leave you said
But I can’t because I fell in love
And you didn’t understand
The ruckus was in my heart
Stomped and torn a part
Senseless reunion on the page
Made me hurt all over again
Chills and trembling chin
You were all I ever wanted
Until a new one came a long
Drying my tears
Swept up the suffering
Put it in his pocket
Took my hand
Kissed my fingers one by one
Told me not to cry over you
Said he’d make me forget you
And he has…..

Or has he? What a statement! I love it. You do good stuff, Merry. Please look at my
"Obsession Relinquished" from earlier today and tell me what you think.
Thanks,
Stitch
