Leaping, lapping
at the stream,
a clever fawn
from some lost dream
running from the
hungry wolf,
confident and
sure of hoof
in the thicket
out of breath,
baby now must
take a rest
dancing in a
waterfall,
I dreamt and answered
nature’s call
