I can’t get you off my mind.
If I could only try it,
Maybe I could put this all behind.

Laying on a bed of glory,
While seeing ghosts of all the pain.
How I wish it was a happy ending story,
But there’s no hope to remain.

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel…
A spark of hope that flutters on by.

But only time will say,
Go for it or walk away.
I need you to love me,
Just put no one above me.
I seem to have gone cold,
Please give me one thing to hold.
But I’ll just play my part,
Hope you find it in heart;
But I can’t pull all this through,
It’s something only time can do.

I like to believe,
That for you and me,
The sun will shine one day.

If I could only reach you,
If only I could meet you, lifelong dream,
To have a special way.

There’s nothing more I can say to you,
You being here, is something

1 A.M. and the night is quiet.
I can’t get you off my mind.
If I could only try it,

wow. thank u for this poem! this is exactly what i am struggling through right now with someone very dear to me! i wish i was able to put into words what u have. great write!
