Array ( [sid] => 35089 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The breath of scandal [time] => 2004-02-15 14:41:45 [hometext] => A poem about a nervous affair. [bodytext] => I sit, hands shaking, over the breathless view.
Angles rise like knifes reaching at the sky
Windows filled with lives hang surrounding,
My time alone, contemplating my next move.

Why am I so completely bewildered by the prospects of this liaison.
The times before were no different,
Each moulded into memory from a unconnected view.
This time would only be another link in a chain, another score on a mental bedpost.

But now I have something to lose.
My life has turned unexpectedly lucky,
A beautiful wife (even though she drives me to anxiety)
Wonderful kids (beyond there skill to drive me to distraction) and a new eager staff under me.

She enters the otherwise deserted office in the clutching gloom.
She stands, slightly embarassed, in a place that does not fit her.
Beautiful. I rise, to suit her and she smiles,
As the light soars and the traffic spins below.

What is it that pushes me to make these times,
To leave my days behind for some beautiful night.
I guess beyond anything else, that it is
The breath of scandal that entices me. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 180 [topic] => 43 [informant] => AbstractMinded [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

AWESOME! I am really touched by the perception in this piece the flawless beauty of your words trickle like a stream into the time continuum very strong and many people can't grasp the reasons why we cheat or sometimes that lack of the logical explanation great poem-<br /> PoeticRequiem<br /> (The Wordsmith)
