Array ( [sid] => 35022 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => you'll stay with me [time] => 2004-02-14 22:51:53 [hometext] => she's gone but her memory lives within me [bodytext] => faint and faithless i stand stripped
down to the dim glow of my soul,
as a fresh breeze kisses my face
and the aroma of uncertainty is looming in the distance.
thoughts and visions toy with the intricate trappings of my mind
throwing and ripping what was once the indelible memory of her
and as gods and generals hum sing song tunes
i watch her go
waiting for the slight turn of her head
for a small pause in between steps.
something to stop the sound of her shoes upon the pavement
but nothing happens
no heavy sighs or rolling eyes
or quick just kiddings.
no more i love you's
or quiet nights spent holding each other
watching the stars age as time slows down around us.
i'll miss her
but it's for the best
she needed to go
i was an anchor in her deep blue sea
and now she glides across the water
flawless
perfect
no sound, just movement
the specticle of vision that she is
is brilliant and vivid within my mind
and she'll stay
or at least i'll hope she stays with me in my memory...
and when worst comes to worst
i'll lay in the soft grass that was ours and dream of her
and how we laughed and played
the crazy games that lovers do.
she'll stay
within my memory
and i'll feel the comforting warmth of her eyes every time i close mine
and i'll stay at peace
even though she's sailed away [comments] => 1 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Strat [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
