[hometext] => Another collaboration, written in 'loving' memory of Life.
[bodytext] => Stricken down by tragic grief, when will my heart succumb Is all I see and believe born of delirium? I look around at faces, these smiles make no sense Each one of us carries our own vile pestilence It ferments inside us, good intentions gone bad When all we hoped was to remember the old feelings we had. And Pestilence takes our body as his morbid throne The moment we've reduced to all but bone A disease that's terminal, upon dreams it has fed We're reduced to nothing more than soulless walking dead. Epidemic grows rampant, now expanding the earth Wretched plague inside us all, infected right from birth In shattered glass lies our old selves The beasts we've become must be someone else. Attempting to steal our hearts back from the pile Before realizing they're the ones we were enticed to defile There we lay in rotten heaps, we vandalize the world Heartless as automatons, our virus now unfurled. Anguish is what mankind brings, the great spreading disease Envenom the land and air, make poison of the seas Malice beyond all measure takes over and envelops us all Stumbling and shambling, sometime we must fall. We've withered down to the point of disentegration The only way that seems to lead out is complete eradication Hearts of gold and purest souls, their time is ticking fast Can't evade the plague for long, iron resolve won't last Sinuous doom fills the air, now weaves it's baneful path Cloaked in stealth to take it's toll with mellifluous wrath Time betrays again, but not for the last time The reaper arrives, and we're next in line. So ends the road of affiction and unease The apalling consequence of life's disease.
