If I could leap up and touch the sky,
If I would always break down and cry,
If I could tie the perfect tie,
would you notice me?

If I brushed my hair a different way,
If I always knew the right words to say,
If I got down on my knees to pray,
would you notice me?

If I could make a sick child well,
If I could shout with the loudest yell,
If to the devil my soul I could sell,
would you notice me?

If I painted my nails and shiny, bright pink,
If I could tell the thoughts you think,
if my eyes changed colors everytime I blinked,
would you notice me?

I would try these things, don't you see?
But I definitely won't beg and plead.
Someday, maybe mine you will be.
Until then, I'll wish you'd notice me.

Nice write sweetie ! Loved the "If my eyes changed colors everytime I blinked, would you notice me".I as well can relate and it's nice to know that a person's poetry can somehow become a friend of ours, someone who is living the same period and telling us we're not alone.Nicely done,
PumpkinPie
