How cold someone with so much warmth have a touch so cold. A touch that I try not to jump when you run your fingers across my body. Lips so soft. Embraced with a kiss so gentle. How could someone with such gentle and soft kisses hurt me so often and make tears come to my eyes? I try not to cry when you hurt me. I love you too much to let you know you do this to me. That your touch of coldness sends a chill down my spine. That the bruises you leave me make me want to cry. So why did you ask if I was okay? Could you tell something was wrong? Could you tell that I was hurt? Was it the single tear that gave it away? Or was it the scream that I held within? It’s really not too much of the physical pain that hurts me so much. That pain goes away. That pain I’ve lived with all my life. And I would live with three times as much pain if it were only from you. The pain that hurts me the most is the words. The words that seem to peirce my heart. The words that seem to shread my soul. Why do you say such hateful things? Why do you make me cry each and every day?
