Inspiration

Topic: goodbyepoetry

I did not know you well
but you touched me just the same
As all of those who loved you
And found comfort in your name.
You were graceful and creative
And a beauty to behold.
You were a kind and giving woman
Who put others first so I was told.
You carried out your life
As God would want you to lead.
Your many gifts rained down upon us
And we felt your love indeed.
I did not know you well
But I miss having you here.
I know if I just look around
Your spirit is bound to appear.
The sun reflects your smile
And the sparkle in your eyes.
You are dancing on the hillsides
And brightening the skies.
I hear you lauging in the cool breeze
That sweeps across my face.
And at night you taunt the moonlight
And it's starlight that you chase.
You were feisty and spirited,
And on this earth you had a ball.
We miss you dear Cecelia
You were an inspiration to us all.

In memory of Cecelia Biehl (passed away on May 9, 2003)

Your poem brought tears to my eyes. What a kind heart you have to write such a loving and tender tribute. This one was very impressive. I am just in awe. Kie
