shades of grey

Contributed by Strat on Wednesday, 11th February 2004 @ 12:54:22 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

i've cried myself to sleep for the last time
tommorow i wont worry anymore
i'll float away into the several shades of grey
unknown to the world, with the scars of a past life
tommorow will be much better now that i'm going
i'll leave and never look back
no one will notice
except the coroner that reads my tags
i'll slip into the deep freeze
it's cold and unrelenting.
not much has changed
it's more spacious there
and far more lonely
i'll have a grand time
im my oblivion
perhaps it's the pills
or maybe the people
i'm merely a spectre among the animated
asking questions that nobody hears over the screams
mindless talk and arguing
so now that i'm going
i'll leave you this letter
says how hollow i've become
and shallow everyone else is
i'm not worth the world's time
so i'll be going now
fade away into the several shades of grey...

Don't go my friend
For beyond thoses shades of gray
Looms the colors of the sunrise
To show you the way

How glorious your life will be
When seen in morning light
Hang on a little longer
For hope ends the night

though the darkness and shadows seem ever lasting and though the pain my seem unbareable one day you'll find they hold no control over you unless you allow them to. and once you've realized this you can push past them and move on to a world you only dreamed you'd know.
