Anabel...

Contributed by deathdrop on Tuesday, 10th February 2004 @ 12:54:42 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

In the dark shadows of,
a small girls room,
sits a pink doll,
with ginger curls!

it's cold up there,
as Anabel sits alone,
she doesn't like it much there,
but this is her home!

when kayla come up,
to say hello!
kayla pulls her hair,
kayla rips her clothes!

Anabel is all muddy,
where she gets taken,
in the garden,
she is torn,
with her stuffing comming out.

i know you could say this is love,
but there's love,
and then abuse,
the way anabel is treated,
would you like that to happen to you?

anabel soon will be more ripped and torn,
then she is now,
but when she falls apart,
she won't be loved no more!

she just be thrown in tthe bin...

That indeed are some very strong emotions expressed for that doll, well written. No one really thinks about this when they take a doll in their hands!

It is sad. The abuse the dolls goes through. When children grow up they no longer play with their beloved toys. Makes me think of the song " Puff the Magic Dragon "
