[bodytext] => You know it now You were betrayed Told there was a terrible threat All those lies they said And you sent your sons Proud but afraid Many never came back Cold and dead You know it now You were betrayed No missiles That pointed at you No al Qaeda links No reason to do What Bush wanted to You were betrayed By political rats Who saw a window To crawl through They used your grief They used your fear They took from you What you hold dear They took your sons And traumatised them To kill the black men To slaughter them They lied and lied About dangers that were few They twisted the truth They betrayed YOU O/ White House 'distorted' Iraq threat Bush administration officials 'systematically misrepresented' the threat from Iraq's weapons of mass destruction in the run-up to war, according to a new report to be published on Thursday by a respected Washington think-tank. These distortions, combined with intelligence failures, exaggerated the risks posed by a country that presented no immediate threat to the US, Middle East or global security, the report says. O/ OUR LEADERS ARE LIARS Our leaders are liars There can be no doubt Instructing others to lie To scream and shout America in danger from WMD! Nukes, Bio and Chemo! We must destroy! Pass me the ammo!!! They goaded you to war With lie upon lie They killed twelve thousand and more And STILL they die And your own kids too Sent to a nightmare of hate To traumatise them forever And seal their fate Now report on report Is telling the truth No Nukes, No Bio, No Chemo Only destruction of youth The only report We will never receive Is the one from our liars As they seek to deceive They keep repeating “We were right!
