Sheathed by a conservative, close minded majority
Restrained by an enigma, a secret with such ferocity
I値l show them, how one can die alone.

Burnished, almost comical this polished stiletto
Sheltered by a weary blanket of doubt and remorse
Its blade, wiped clean of previous indiscretions
I値l show them, how one can die alone.

Metallic bullets, enclosed in a lustreless chamber
Revelations of what lies inside the dull casting
Primed, by a single, explicit cocking of the hammer
I値l show them, how one can die alone.

Exact dosage; take one or perhaps five to be sure
Demise in a capsule, its toxic appeal far too great
Unassuming disguise, take two with your last supper
I値l show them, how one can die alone.

This life, too depressing to continue its course
This world, too cruel to maintain an affiliation
This soul, too crushed to devote itself to living
This mind, too weathered to feel anything but hatred
This is how one dies alone.

I really enjoyed this one... Its so true. I feel this many times a day if not constantly. It seems that you cant go through one day with out feeling alone at least once if not the whole day. I enjoyed this one very much.

good poetry, vivid...strong. but no one dies alone. I've worked for suicide prevention...cleaned up the aftermath...someone needs to write about that too. The havoc that's left over. The dead feel no pain afterward..but those left behind do, which is often (not always) the intention. It's cruel really...I've tried it myself, twice...think about it often...so I don't speak from inexperience. Their are better ways to handle emotional pain..One way is to begin recognizing what a wonderful way you have with words....

You have a truly amazing way with words. If this is coming from personal experience than I wish you the best. Remember to be strong, for every bad day there's hundereds of good ones waiting for you. Everyone feels like this at some point in their life and my advice to you is to continue writing about it, it's a great way to release some of the thoughts and emotions you find swirling in your head.
