It leaves me hanging on by a thread.
I don't want to care anymore,
So here I lay in bed.

I want to make it all go away,
And disappear forever.
Then somehow you suck me back in.
You seem to be quite clever.

You know just how to get to me
I feel that I'm back tracking.
It is a constant battle
Between you and the strength I'm lacking.

That side of me wants to show
That I have stregth and pride,
Yet everytime the matter is you,
It always runs to hide.

I can't hold my ground with you.
I let you walk all over me.
You don't care how much you hurt me.
Maybe one day you will see.

Until that day comes
All I can do is try,
To forget all about you
Since you are no longer by my side. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 335 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Aaralyn [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Oh how sad and forlorn.....I'm so sorry for you, it's really very hard to do, when someone has been there for a while......it's scary not to have them there and all gone.
This was a wonderful poem, and I really enjoyed reading it. I hope things will get better for you soon!
love and hugs

What a great, if not terribly sad, poem. I enjoyed reading it. Its sad to no longer feel that person, you have felt for so lone beforehand, beside you. Its an empty feeling, and I hope you can overcome it.

Every time I hear something about her, I like her less and less.....lol. But you know this already. But, like I've said before, I owe her, doesn't mean I gotta like her.....but I owe her a lot.
