there are some days i look and i see myself
as i used to be someone who knew things
someone different than who i am today
someone through my looking glass

i dwell on the thought of myself as i was
thinking what would have been could have been
and i cry thinking of who i once was never again
there will never be another time another place
someone through my looking glass

how much time will i have left to me
where can sit and see my other self
how much time do i have left to even know
was there ever another self in the looking glass
someone through my looking glass

i feel myself fading each time i look now
the remnants of who i was slowly disappears
i look and see a shadow a ghost of who i was
she is gone the woman i knew in the looking glass

Oh dear Maryetta,
It's so easy to get downhearted when you care for a person with Alzheimers disease.
Half the time they don't even know you or thank you for all that you do......so try not to looking in looking glass to see you...try looking deeper into your wonderful generous heart......that's where you find a beautiful lady
so kind....that she is will to sacrifice that lady
you might have seen in the looking glass!
Beautifully written poem, soooforlorn.
love you
consue
