Array ( [sid] => 34231 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Poetess [time] => 2004-02-07 22:06:37 [hometext] => this is dedicated to the lady poets here who write so eloquently of love and life... [bodytext] => **~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~**

the words from her heart
fall on pretty paper
neatly penned
in syllables that celebrate
true love
from rising sun to twilight
she seeks inner self
listening to the verses
ringing in her head
a bell so sweetly calling her to seek
true love
when she's in his arms she gives
the passion of a goddess
and when his lips taste hers
she lets go of all her doubts
they are lovers now forever
true love
when his words prove false
she writes of pain and sadness
the clouds become her mood
while she sits alone to reconsider
the meaning of
true love

If I was ever given the option to quit writing or die,
I would have to choose death. If I was to stop, I would die anyway.
You have portrayed the female poet so well.
You put us into words, as the beautiful creatures, that we are.

Thanks you so very much, and keep it up!

Jazz
