Why must we get high, and drank all of our pain away? Don’t you know that’s why
so many of us; slip into a deep dark hole and die. Just wanting to escape
from our every day lives. Getting high just wanting, to fly away from the
prison of our minds. Over dead bodies; I can see a many of mothers cry, out
to god wondering why. Out of a many mothers loud cries comes a plea to the
ghetto.
Every Sunday morning; you can calibrate your Tv.’s , and here all of
the men of God beg and plead. For us all to open up are eyes and see. O don’t
you know that god is with us all. Sometimes it seems, to go into one ear and
out of another. The ghetto life makes me wonder why, as I can still here the
mothers cry. How many more young folks have to die; that should have been
still alive. Out of many mothers loud cries, comes a plea to the ghetto.
A plea for love, a plea for hope, a plea for long life. A plea from the
ghetto, that the next generation will be set free from being poverty-stricken,
it’s a shame that the only thing that matters. To the world today is money not
people. Out of all of our own mother’s tears, comes a loud plea not just to the
ghetto, but to every where around the world. I feel you so much on this, there is such an inside war going on. If voices like yours are heard then hopefully there might be some end to all this fighting.
